The past week: January 7 to January 14

I missed a lot of post from last week. A lot has happened. I'll try to put everything that I remember here. Pau also forgot to post update for her part. I hope she realize it soon. I love you Pau.

Day 7:

Our training starts today. Its topic is ATDD(Acceptance Test Driven Development). We already took the training before the last year ends. What we are doing the next 3 days will be to collaborate with the testers with the fitNesse as they make the decision tables and provide with an outsider point of view in the possible inputs and outputs of the system.

We received a news that we will be having a client interview on Wednesday and the BDG department wants to have a mock interview in order to prepare us. Our mock interview goes well and we got some tips on how we should answer the questions.

Day 8:

Training continues. Today we discussed the query feature of fitNesse. It retrieves data from the database and presents the data to whatever medium that would consume it. I'm having a hard time in configuring the setup and teardown page of the fitNesse since both me and my partner are accessing the pages. Good thing I found a way to make the ends meet.

Our mock interview also continues today. Unlike yesterday, where we were conscious and intimidated by our VP's presence, we are more relax and comfortable since the main objective of the exercise was to prepare us from the interview. Fingers crossed, I hope that we all passed tomorrow.

Day 9:

In our training, we were taught of the scripts for fitNesse. Its like a step-by-step process to check if the system returns the expected value for the tests. I'am a bit nervous and excited at the same time for our interview today. The interview will start at 10 pm since our prospect client resides in Connecticut(USA). We have to extend time to give way for the time difference.

I got interviewed after my PM and team lead. There's just a couple of questions for me and the interviewer proceed for the questions regarding the group. The mock interviews helped a lot in preparing us for the questions so it went out well.

My batch mate was interviewed last. I think the pressure piles up on him so he can't answer the questions gracefully. When the interview ended, we all went home with a happy face. I got home at around 1 AM the other day.

Day 10:

I woke up at 11 AM. Our training ended but we are still included in the training room. We are taught on how to make a UI in MVC4. We were able to create a running application in just a matter of minutes. I got a 4 hour excess hours from yesterday so I went home early today. I was able to accompany Pau on my way home.

Day 11:

I woke up at around 9 AM today. I don't think that I can still make it at the office at 10 AM so I decided to take a day off. I helped at home in our store since I got nothing else to do. I can't fetch Pau from work because I'm already out of cash. This happens because I give "pamasko" in our reunion. It's OK since I got a stable income in the job and its the least I can do to my family.

Our phone is not working. I was not able to call Pau. :(

Day 12:

Still a busy day here at home. I helped at the store to give my Mom a rest. She's been looking at the store on weekdays and a little rest will help her to soothe the pain in her body. I kept on telling her to already stop and close the store but she still insist on running it. I think that I can't make her stop and having a thing to keep her busy is a good thing. I just hope that she's not stressing herself and not push it to the limit.

Day 13:

We got a bad news today. It involves my cousin. I hope he can still get back after this and not end up depressed just like the last time. All I need to do is give him the support that he needed to a least ease up the pain. I know God has His plans for him.

Day 14:

I got at the office at 10AM. Pau and I ate at SM Megamall Foodcourt. We reminisce the time when were at the same spot that we became officially a couple. She's teasing me that I didn't get the idea right away. In my defense, I can't assume things right away. It may give her the wrong impression that I am assuming and too confident. When we got back, I worked for the Honda project since this will be our last week to look after it. We will be working on a new project by next week and we have to close the Honda account this week.

Pau and I ate at Mang Inasal for dinner. She'll be sleeping over at Megan's(her bestfriend) place today. i accompanied her in Megan's flat. Its just a couple of minutes for our office but in the middle of Mandaluyong. I need to get to Acacia Lane in order to get a ride home. I got home at 11 PM and Pau called me through her phone. How sweet. I love you Pau.

And that what happens the past week.
